8vo., xi, (1), 102 pp. Frontis photo portrait of the author plus 24 double-sided monochrome photo plates, including one of his "friend and pupil Two Gun White Calf whose face is on the Buffalo nickel". Full deep purplish-blue textured cloth with titles in gilt on front cover and spine.

Light fox spots on front and back endpapers and leaf edges creeping through to margins on a few pages. Inscription of previous owner in pencil on front fly leaf dated "Xmas 1931".

Vogt was "a master of the fly-rod, and its cousin, the bait-casting rod." A fisherman's classic.
