Adams and Maegraith: Tropical Medicine for Nurses

Maegraith, B.G. & H.M. Gilles. Oxford: Blackwell Scientific Publications, 1970.

8vo., ix, (1), 326 pp. Full deep purplish-blue cloth with title in gilt on spine. Photos and charts in text. Pale yellow dust jacket printed in red.

Small, light fox spots to fore-edges, a little more pronounced along top edge and creeping into a few leaf margins. Otherwise unblemished. Jacket with very pale stain marks.

This book was precipitated by the chronic shortage of doctors in tropical countries and so presents a much more detailed outline of the management and treatment of diseases for practicing nurses, as well as those in training.

1st published 1955. 1970, 3rd edition revised and largely rewritten. Rare title.
