Both volumes with very minor spotting to leaf edges. Endpapers toned and spotted. Fox spots to prelims. and frontis. of Vol. 1 and to interior plate of Vol. 2. Spine ends slightly crushed with a couple of tiny nicks. Otherwise a very nice, sound set.

Sir John Lubbock (1834 – 1913), although a banker by trade, made significant contributions to the fields of archaeology, ethnography and evolutionary biology. Best known for his pioneering studies into the life histories of insects.
