Meningiomas: Their Classification, Regional Behaviour, Life History, and Surgical End Results

Cushing, Harvey M.D. with Louise Eisenhardt, M.D. Springfield, Illinois: Charles C. Thomas, 1938.

Small 4o.,Xiv, 785 including bibliography and index, (3) pp. Gloss-coated paper. Two-colour frontis illustration. Photographs, illustrations and diagrams throughout text. Dark blue cloth with publisher’s device stamped in blind to bottom outer corner of lower board. Spine ruled and lettered in gilt.

Very light rub to outer corners of boards and tail of spine. A curious binding error has resulted in pp. 581 – 596 being bound in twice. This has not affected the binding or the sequence, which is complete, but a few small blemish spots appear on the repeated leaves at roughly the same position on the page. Otherwise clean, tight, bright.

This work is the culmination of approximately 25 years of neurosurgical research and is regarded as the author’s greatest clinical monograph. A medical classic.

1st edition. Rare.
